AGILITY
Tess started agility in the summer of 2008 and although I was away for all of July she competed in her first trial CPE trial and got first placements in all the runs she had. We didn't do too much during the winter but started working hard this spring and entered our first CKC trial at Cookstown, Ontario. She was entered in standard and jumps with weaves at the novice level and had 8 qualifying runs. Not bad for first time out - some photos below taken at that trial. She then had her first intermediate trial the following week, and considering we've never run an intermediate course we managed one qualifying run out of 4. It was a miserable rainy day and although we didn't do as well as I'd hope we learned a lot, and my dog was terrific, but her mother needs to pick up her speed.
Tess went on top compete at S.D.& G. in late August. She finished her intermediate jumpers title there and managed to pick up her first intermediate standard leg. We have a lot to learn, poor tess she needs a younger mother with more desire to do agility. What with field, obedience, rally and agility we are spread pretty thin.
